Exclusive Q&A with Mrs. Claus
Ahead of her appearance with her husband at Elkhart Public Library’s downtown Christmas Party Monday, Mrs. Claus answered some questions we had during a phone interview.

EPL: How long have you been coming to EPL?
Mrs. Claus: I’ve been coming for about six years now. We have so many places to visit, malls, libraries, fire stations, but the Elkhart library is one of our favorites so we always make sure to try and make it back.
EPL: What’s your favorite part about visiting to EPL?
MC: I enjoy interacting with the kids and seeing the excitement on their faces when they are meeting Santa.
EPL: What’s your favorite part of Christmas?
MC: I love everything about Christmas, I love decorating and I love the cookies and I love watching the elves working on finishing up all the toys and fattening up the reindeer for Christmas Eve.
EPL: How did you and Santa meet?
MC: We met in college at North Pole Tech. We had Toy Distribution and Logistics 101 together.
EPL: How can you tell if a child has belongs on the nice or naughty list?
MC: I can usually look in their eyes and tell if they’ve been good.
EPL: What’s the best part about coming to the library?
MC: I love to read and I love to read to kids and I love to see how much the kids love to read and I enjoy being at the library with the kids.
EPL: What’s the most stressful part of the season for you?
MC: Making sure that all the toys are done and that Santa gets out on time
EPL: How many outfits do you have?
MC: I have quite a few of the same red and white outfit, with a little bit of green.
What’s your favorite thing to do at the North Pole?
MC: I like baking and I like reading stories and watching Christmas movies. I like feeding the reindeer.
