New EPL Vans: Beautiful, Functional, and Efficient!

Perhaps you have already seen our beautiful new Library vans around town. One is for delivering Library materials (returns, holds, etc.) between EPL’s five locations and the Goshen Public Library. The other is for our Outreach staff, who visit preschools, day care centers, retirement facilities, apartment complexes, parks, and other locations with Library materials, crafts, and learning activities. Through our Homebound program, Outreach also takes books and other items to residents who are physically unable to come to the Library.

With more than 150,000 miles on it, our 16-year old delivery truck had become increasingly difficult and expensive to maintain. Also, our Outreach staffers have been using their own vehicles since we retired the Library’s two bookmobiles in 2011. With all this in mind, we opted to replace the truck with two smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles.

The images on both vans were designed by EPL Graphic Artist, Chris Hunsberger. Feast your eyes!
