Elkhart History – Charles Gordone

To celebrate Black History Month, Elkhart Public Library is highlighting great individuals that have called Elkhart home. In this piece we look at Charles Gordone, an Elkhart High School graduate who went on to be an actor, director and playwright, his play “No Place to Be Somebody” won the 1970 Pulitzer Prize.
