Author Meet and Greet: Courtney Magnuson Gomez and Brandon Reed

Local author Courtney Magnuson Gomez and illustrator Brandon Reed are signing and selling their book, “Fletcher’s Big Adventures: Adoption Day.” The book is based on Magnuson Gomez’s own pup, Fletcher. All Fletcher wants is a family of his own, but his puppy-like personality gets in his way.
Courtney Magnuson Gomez grew up in the small town of Osceola, Ind. She developed a love of composing stories even before she knew how to write. Courtney is an author, a poet, and the third place creative writing winner in Argentum at Great Basin College for her poem, “Förvirrad.” When she’s not writing, Courtney loves to spend time with her husband and two adorable pups.
For illustrator Brandon Reed, drawing has been a hobby since he was five years old. In seventh grade, he did illustration for a comic book that was part of an anti-bullying program, which was sold at Barnes & Noble. In 2016, Brandon started Cartoon Connect Studios. Now he animates and illustrates full time.
