Check out this convenience – curbside pickup now at EPL
Whether you’re after new books or classics, movies or music, we can help you with your library needs at curbside pickup. You’re just a few clicks and a call away from enjoying great stories and more.
First things first, all items are available to be held through our online catalog when you login with your EPL card. You also can call the location where you wish to pick up.
If you’re not sure how to place a hold, watch this short video that will have you doing it in no time.
Curbside service is available at all open library locations during open hours, which are: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Our Pierre Moran Branch currently is closed for renovations.
During the pandemic, we’re allowing holds on DVDs. A limit of five may be held at one time.
We’re also allowing patrons to place a hold on up to three magazines.
All of the other usual rules are in place.
Circulation time for items remains the same: 21 days for books and CDs, seven days for DVDs and magazines. Overdue fines are back in place – except on kids materials – so please be timely in your returns.
Simply hold the items you want and make sure your contact information is up to date.
You will receive a message when your items are ready for pick up, then head on over to the branch you’ve chosen to pick up at.
When you arrive at the location, park in the designated spot and call the phone number on the sign. An EPL staff member will verify the last four digits of your library barcode and ask for a description of your vehicle.
For everyone’s safety, we ask that you wait inside your vehicle as our staff bring out your items in a bag with an identifying tag.
The bag will be set on a table, or in the event of inclement weather, we’ll ask you to roll down a backseat window or open your trunk to place the bag in your car with minimal contact.
After staff walk away from the table, you can then get out and retrieve your bag, checking the tag to make sure it is your items you’re picking up.
All items needing to be returned should be placed in the outside book drops.
