South Bend Code School scholarships available
South Bend Code School is offering 10 scholarships on a first come, first served basis for coding classes for children ages 7 to 18.
Computer coding is an important technical skill that is believed to open the door for many future careers, it can also be a fun hobby for people as well.
South Bend Code School is offering scholarships for their spring 2021 semester, which cover three coding tracks. All classes begin Feb. 1, run for four weeks and are done remotely. The scholarships are a $150 value.
–Scratch Game Design for Beginners (ages 7-10) Designed for new coders ages 7-10, students will be introduced to the fundamental coding concepts through game design. Mondays 4 to 5:30 p.m. or 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
–Scratch Game Design Advanced (ages 10-12) Great for students ages 10-12 who have some coding experience but want to learn further coding concepts through game design. Mondays 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
– Arcade Game Design (ages 13-18) Teens will build a classic arcade game from start to finish that can be played over and over again. Tuesdays 5:45 to 7:15 p.m.
