Black History Month Read

Read some great literature to honor Black History Month at the Dunlap Branch!

america_history_194758Black History Month is in February, but Dunlap is celebrating twice as long with a drawing for children and teens that will last for two months. Every time you read a book about Black History in January or February you can enter a drawing at Dunlap.

The book can be fiction or nonfiction. A collection of Black History books will be on display at Dunlap to make choosing your books easy. There will also be Black History displays in the Children’s Room at the Main Library and at the other locations.

We will have a drawing for kids ages 7-11 years, and one for teens ages 12-18 years.

Need even more help selecting a great book? Here is a list of some that we think are the best.
